Introduction

Garlic Butter Salmon is a rich, comforting, and restaurant-worthy meal that comes together effortlessly on a single sheet pan. This recipe features tender, flaky salmon coated in a silky garlic-butter glaze, paired with crispy roasted potatoes and perfectly seasoned green beans for a complete, balanced dinner. Every bite offers a combination of buttery richness, zesty freshness, and satisfying textures.

Quick tip: always pat the salmon dry before seasoning—this helps the butter cling to the surface and creates a more flavorful golden crust.

Ingredients

For the Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets, 6 oz each (170 g)
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted (45 g)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (15 ml)
  • 1 tsp paprika (2 g)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (1 g)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

For the Potatoes

  • 1 lb baby potatoes, halved (450 g)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (1 g)
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (1 g)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Green Beans

  • 12 oz fresh green beans (340 g)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 tsp salt (3 g)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper (1 g)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven.
Heat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This temperature ensures the potatoes crisp while the salmon stays tender.
  2. Season and roast the potatoes.
Toss the halved potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 15 minutes until lightly browned.
  3. Prepare the garlic butter.
Mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper. The aroma should be rich, garlicky, and bright.
  4. Add the green beans.
Remove the potatoes from the oven, push them aside, and add the green beans. Coat with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread evenly.
  5. Add the salmon.
Place the salmon fillets in the center of the baking tray. Brush generously with the garlic butter sauce, making sure each fillet is coated.
  6. Bake everything together.
Return the pan to the oven and bake 12–15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily and the beans are crisp-tender.
  7. Broil for color (optional).
Broil for 1–2 minutes to caramelize the garlic butter and crisp up the potatoes.
  8. Finish and serve.
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges if desired.
